This is a dictionary of some Finnish words used in the English language, each with a literal or Finnish meaning, English definition and sometimes actual sample sentence(s) from literature and the Internet.

The term Finnish English as I use it here should not be confused with Finglish (or Finnglish), which is often used to described the mixture between Finnish and English used among Finnish Americans and their descendents.

Of course there are not as many Finnish loanwords in English as there are, for example, German loanwords.

If anybody knows any other Finnish words used in English, please let me know.
